Originally as a large wood frame simple center aisle church in 1889, Seven Dolors Church doubled its size in a few years to include a partial basement and locally produced red brick to the entire structure, including the 145 foot tall tower. Sand worked with the parishioners to renovate the church with historically accurate interior designs, such as stencil work and restoring lighting fixtures and repairing the well-known red brick exterior and steeple.
