Sand restored the Minnesota Building into 137 apartment homes with 10,000 sf of commercial/office space on the 1st and 2nd floors. The original Minnesota Building was designed by St. Paul architect Charles A. Hauser and construction began in 1929 for the 12-story office building with a penthouse added shortly thereafter. The building was designed as Class A office space with office suites for upscale business, featuring concrete column and beam framework with a tile and joist floor system. The building's street facades were dressed with limestone and terracotta. Sand worked to convert the 13-story office building into 137 apartment homes featuring a community room, fitness room, on-site management offices, and original design and features.
