Jim plans, directs and coordinates risk and insurance programs to control risks and losses at all Sand managed hotels, residential properties and construction job sites. He also directs insurance negotiations, manages insurance programs, and works with the human resource group to oversee the insurance programs they are directly responsible for. Jim directs loss prevention, maintains loss information for all related entities of Sand Companies, Inc. and safety programs. He is a Sand Board Member and Shareholder.

Jim joined Sand Companies, Inc. in 1998. He has 32 years of property management and residential real estate development experience. He's held a Minnesota Real Estate License for 39 years and a Minnesota Real Estate Broker's License for 37 years. At Sand Companies, Inc., Jim also held the positions of Business Development Manager and the Vice President of Development.

Jim has been active in many civic organizations in his community that include Jaycees, Lions, Chamber of Commerce and Albany Industries, Inc. He is a Trustee at Seven Dolors Church, past board member of Mother of Mercy Campus of Care in Albany, a member of the Knights of Columbus and the American Legion.
